mrev2 and spacer

i just installed my mrev2 and 5/16 spacer. my engine is now louder and i have more power all around i love it but also when giving the car gas i hear a noticeably loud deep whistle noise. curious if this is normal or is this a sign of a vacuum leak noise ?

ok good to know, i started to get to the point of redoing the install cause i thought i did something wrong. also i know the engine light comes on after this new upgrade and the idle changes. but after 30 or so miles of driving my engine light turned off so this is probably cause it just took the ecu some time to get used to the new part im figuring. thought because the light is off now do i still have to perform a idle procedure relearn or is everything fine cause the light is gone?

With a CAI it makes me really hate the sound. It takes away from the nice growl, hence why I went back to stock.

When the car is warmed up and everything turned off (a/c, lights, radio, etc) what's your idle at? If it's higher than 650 rpms, then you should go ahead and do the idle relearn procedure.

Mine did that too, but after my K&N filter got a little dirty it stopped

its idling at the line below the 1000rpm mark so that would be 800rpms im guessing? also my cel came back on. i did a vacuum check and everything looks good and i font hear no signs of vacuum leaking. is there another way to look or hear for vacuum issues cause i already did the carb clean check and my idle stayed the same?

Common mistake for vacuum issues is getting that rubber piece around the oil fill caught in the plenum. If you don't have a vacuum leak, do the idle reset procedures. Doesn't sound like you've even tried yet...
