Need help with this weird issue

I'll be traveling on the freeway going 75 MPH and my car will suddenly go into a kind of limp mode. It wont let me rev over 2000 rpms. The slip light and VDS light comes on. If I turn the car off and turn it back on its fixed right away. Ive never had this happen to me in any of my other cars. Can someone help me track down this issue? It doesnt do it every time either. I think the hotter it is outside the worse it is.

Any codes? Look up "diy cam position sensor", sounds kind of like that

MAF sensor. Failsafe of some cars is if the MAF sensor gets dirty in any way the car goes into limp mode so it doesn't run too lean and cause engine damage. Replace your filter and clean the MAF sensor with spray from Auto Zone or Advance Auto. In minutes you'll be back to full potential. I had same problem with a few of my cars, including the G a few months ago. Though I replaced the filter and assumed it was a vacuum leak. 10 minute procedure. Let us know how it goes.

I had similar symptoms when the alignment was bad. Turn VDS off and see if you can reproduce it.

Its funny you mention that it was cause of your bad alignment, cause just the other day my dad was telling me it needed an alignment. I'll try that before cleaning the sensor.
