HR swap, is it worth it?

hey guys, a guy bought an HR engine with an auto transmission. i asked him if hes willing to sell it and he said yea, hes would to trade if i pay 2500$ difference (my engine is 06 DE also 5AT). is it worth the money? do u guys have any idea how much an HR and DE costs both with transmissions? thanks

Use the extra 2500 on the Vq35DE that is currently in your car...Unless it's already junk.My opinion

A built motor is much more reliable then a stock one if you go to a good shop. It also increases sale value as you can say it fixed oil burning issues .

Yes an HR swap has been done before, so it's possible. Are you looking at a 3.5 HR or 3.7HR? A 3.7 might be worth the effort, a 3.5 probably not.

If you want to be technical it is 18 (280vs298) of which you will probably see 10 to the wheels. No, there is not "many" parts that can hold more when you add FI. The only real difference would be the oil pump. Other than that a non revup will hold up the same to FI as a revup.

Basically it is a complete waste of money and time to swap a working non revup for a revup.
