2003 g35 coupe swap
You're just talking about swapping the engine and nothing else - correct? So basically you would be disconnecting everything on your current engine, pulling it out (which is the engine and heads) then putting the '06 engine and heads back in. Really just a R&R deal, if you have a manual trans you may want to consider replacing the clutch too as you will be dropping the trans anyway. If the car is automatic, you will be able to leave the transmission in place. Good luck with the exhaust headers, best bet is to try and disconnect the cats from them and let them stay on the engine when you remove it. Good luck!
ok thank you but that is for the computer 2003 operates with the engine of 2006? I was told that the 2006 is a high engine revolution so its takes the computer from 2006? and fillage is the same? and sensor too? sorry for all his question. thank you very much!
So now you are changing things up. The Rev Up engine via computer adjusts valve timing on both the intake and exhaust valves. If that is something that you wish to retain (not sure on this but you may have to) then yes you would need the computer from the '06. Everything else should be the same.
No, I would think for the '06 engine to operate normally it will need the computer box that it came with - I think that using the '03 could possibly damage the engine due to the timing controller.
Shouldn't you be taking this to a shop if you're asking if the VQ35DE can be swapped with the VQ35HR? You're not taking on this project by yourself are you? Matter of fact, DON'T!!!!!

From his questions I felt he was either going to a shop or hiring someone to do the job on site. Also people tend to forget that the ECU for the engine is completely separate from the one that operates the rest of the vehicle. Keeping the ECU with the engine has the best chance of success.
