Had it on for a while now, and no problems yet! <knock on wood>

OK, as promised here's a pic of my UT carbone tube. YOu can see the air hose connection built into the tube.
Do I get it right that the Z version is with the little red filter and the G version without? Ted enlighten me.

However, if you are interested in the one for the Z..I have that one too. I bought both for some reason. I got the Z one from Grubbs, and they won't let me return it. So if you are interested in the one for the Z, I can sell it for $120 shipped. It comes with the tube, red breather filter, and 2 attachment rubber units.

Strange.....ok, now I am just baffled.

The information on their site still shows the "G-tube" coming with the red filter. I would send UnlimtedTuning a PM and ask:
https://g35driver.com/forums/private...pm&userid=8686

Otherwise, you've got me

Hey Guys,

The original UTR Carbon Fiber "G" Tube came with the breather filter and we have recently released a revised version of our Carbon Fiber tubes which incorporates the PCV Valve like the factory OEM "Z" tube or our UTR Polish/Chrome Tubes. There is no performance difference between the 2 versions. Hope this information helps, thank you.

Sincerely,

Eddie, that's the deal you have the new version, and I have the old version that does not have that spout on the carbon fiber. My version has the small breather filter.

I would like to add the red breather filter looks good cosmetically.

i think that the tube without the little filter will produce a more aggressive sound. i have mine on order, can't wait to get it. i ordered the one with the red filter. i hope the hissing sound is loud as hell. i love it like that.

Thanks a lot UT for clearing the issue up.

Agree. Maybe the new design is the reason for the strange whistle I have at mid throttle?

BTW, can somebody tell me which a/c line I should whatch out for after installing the tube? Is it the small aluminium line on the right side or the bigger rubber one under the tube? Both seem pretty close to the tube and I'm affraid both could be rubbed by the tube as the engine moves during driving.
