Tail light fuse

I have a 2003 g35 coupe, and my tail/braking lights won't turn off. Was told it was the braking switch but could anyone tell me which fuse keeps them on? Any diagram I find online isn't helping. I'd need the diagram of the panel from the fuse box in the engine, which I can't find.

See the following diagrams in the service manual Pages, PG-4, PG-6, LT-135. Note that the fuse you are looking for protects other systems not just the tail light. If you remove the fuse, you will be disable-ling other systems. There is a small black rubber/plastic button on the brake pedal lever that actuates the brake switch. These are known to deteriorate and break off or fall off. Have you tried to depress the switch by hand and have some look to see if the lights go out?

BTW, it is Fuse #20, it is a 10Amp and it is located on the drivers side behind the L/H kick panel.

Try pulling the brake switch out and testing it like mentioned above. There are two switches on the pedal, I think the brake one is solid black (no brown on it). Anyway if you unplug the wrong one it really doesn't matter (just twist them to get them out). Plug them back in afterwards.

The two switches are typically the Brake light switch and the Cruise Control cut off switch.

It would be helpful for others in the future if Evan.bullock would give an update on what the fix was, hopefully he will.

The tail light fuse is in the ipdm/er behind the battery. It should be the top left fuse and it is also labeled on the lid as well when you remove it.

If you read the write up closer, his problem is with the brake/stop lights staying on. The stop light wiring diagram is on page LT-135, the fuse is #20, it is a 10A fuse and it is located where I previously stated. The fuse you are referring to is for the tail lights, wiring diagram is on page LT-149 & 150, that fuse is #75 and it is also a 10A fuse.

In any case, Evan has not responded so he probably got the problem fixed and forgot he asked for help. Maybe he will respond and bring closure to the thread.

Tail light and DRL not running

Hey so I’m having trouble, I’ve checked the fuse and it was not blown. I did notice however that the main wires that plug into my headlights are ripped off. Would that have anything to do with my tail lights and DRL not running? Turn signal and brake lights still work.

Turn signal and brake lights are completely separate circuits, parking lights is another completely separate circuit.
