motordyne exhaust plus art pipes meet up Socal

Hey guys I wanted to purchase some art pipes but been holding off on it. My only consern would be the smell. Anyone would be willing to meet up in socal so i can see the performance gains/smelly gains.

Trying to "feel" the gains on someone else's car is practically pointless with all of the different factors that come into play. Although I've never had the ART pipes, all straight pipes will smell of fumes regardless of brand. If you don't like the smell of gasoline than you probably shouldn't go that route.

IDK why people also complain about the smell. Only time I may get a slight smell of it is at a stop light with wind blowing it towards the front. I'd be more worried about getting a loud exhaust ticket than anything about the smell.

Me neither, been running straight pipes for 4 years and it has never bothered me.

HFCs are a better option!

I grew up with leaded gas and no converters and loved the smell! Todays cars are different, I went from HFCs that were broken to ART pipes and within a week I was looking for HFCs that were reliable because of the smell. I drive with my window down most of the time, not enjoying it because of how bad the exhaust smelled...Gary

I guess different strokes, different folks. My windows are down all the time unless rain or too cold. The amount of time I or any my passengers smell it is about 1 in 15-20 rides. That's just a quick wift too not continuously. I don't really even smell it standing behind my car.
