How in the hell do you shift from first gear to second gear smoothly. I can do it if I'm accelerating very slowly, but if I want to move quick in first and shift to 2nd it's very jerky. Am I just bad at shifting with the G?

Practice and get your timing down between the gas and clutch pedals.

Do a search, there are plenty of people who have had and are having the same problem as you...I was one of them when I first got my G...It took me a few weeks to get better at it, and even after a few months I still occasionally get that jerky shift...I haven't seen you drive so it may just be your lousy driving skills "lol" , but chances are its probably just the car...When you shift the RPM's drop crazy fast in this baby...So right before you let out the clutch give it a slight blip of the throttle...This should raise the rpms a little and make the shift much smoother for you...Gluck and be patient, this is a very difficult manual transmission to perfect...

shift, quickly so the RPMs dont drop too much in between, and shift while accelerating a little as possible...

dont release the clutch fast. Make sure that ur RPM's are a little over the RPM's it would be in 2nd gear (get to know your car to know what RPM's will be needed on 2nd gear). It took me some time, but I got used to it. Driving this after driving a 85 honda prelude for SOO much time made me discover how SO MUCH MORE HP feels like.
