Almost crashed today, car performed perfectly
So its now 4:45am, I got to work maybe 15 minutes ago got my coffee and decided I should post about this mornings situation.
Just a little background, I own a 06 G35 coupe - Sport edition. I've owned this car since new. I rolled it off the lot with 8 miles and haven't ever second guessed myself. I've done a few mods but nothing to crazy.
Anyways so I'm heading to work at 3:45am, Its dark out, just a hand full of cars on the freeway. So I'm cruising 80-85 mph with no worries in the world listening to the radio. I jump on the fasttrak lane (toll lane/HOV lane) and proceed with my commute. As I'm driving, in the distance maybe a quarter mile down I see flashing hazard lights on the right shoulder. Over course, my eyes fixate on the lights, and didn't see I was fast approaching a car that had hit the center divide and was covering 2 lanes, one of which I was in. In the blink of an eye I realize I was about to smash into a 4 door older honda accord that had crashed into the center divider. I, without thinking (at roughly 70-80 mph), pulled the steering wheel to swerve right about 2-3 lanes and pulled back to correct my direction.
Well luckily I swerved over enough to avoid any debris on the freeway from what looked like an accident between the car that was in the center divider and the car with the flashing lights on the right shoulder. I was freaked the hell out and gathered my thought before dialing 911 to report the accident, My thoughts of what could have happened faded away as I began to think of how proud I was of the way my little pig VQ performed in that situation, never breaking traction. The car felt like it was on rails, I never felt out of control. I've owned this car for about 8 years now, and always have a smile on my face when driving it. Selling or trading it in has never been a thought on my mind. I plan to keep it and eventually pass it down to my son, who will hopefully love and care for it like I do.
Sorry for the long boring post but I just wanted to share.

Glad everything worked out ok for you. I think the G gets a bad rap on handling, but it is the most predictable car I've owned. Point it and it goes where you tell it to without letting you down.
Nice build, only thing I see missing is camber kit to give your tires more life! Awareness also kept you from being involved in this accident! Had you been on the cell you wouldn't be able to make this thread...Gary
