Actually the bulbs last an incredibly long time, and ballasts go out very frequently. Its most likely your ballast. Take the ballast from your other light, plug it into the one that's not working and see if the problem persists. If it works, then its a ballast problem. If not, then its the bulb. I'll tell you tho, mines an 04 with original bulbs and I do a lot of driving in the dark.

No wonder your bulbs last so long.

You should consider turning on your headlights at night instead of driving in the dark.

Lots of these aftermarket bulbs are cheap, chinese crap....even the "good" aftermarket bulbs. Mine burn out all the time. Would have stuck with the OEM bulbs if they weren't so boring looking.

I get maybe 2 years out of each set i've bought. Usually the same thing happens. One bulb goes out, but if i turn off m lights and turn them back on, it sometimes comes back on.

The bulbs is what i refered to. D2R or D2S depending on reflector or projector housings.

All these $10 bulbs you get on Ebay or from various vendors are cheap Chinese crap. As i write this now, ony of my aftermarket 5K bulbs is starting to go Yellow...a good sign that it will burn out soon. I usually get 1-2 years out of each set before 1 craps out on me. But for $10-15 plus shipping, i'll just order another set and go on for another year or so.

With OEM bulbs, you are stuck with 4.3K, however they are made by reputable manufactuer's like Phillips Osram and last much longer. More expensive ($50-60/pair) but will last you a while. (or at least should).

As with anything, you truely do get what you pay for.

Morimoto makes great aftermarket D2 bulbs in various color schemes. Buy what works for your preference.

If they keep going out, check the cover on the back of your headlight that protects the ballast. Mine kept doing that and, unbeknownst to me, I kept getting road crap in my ballast and THAT'S why my light kept going out. But, look into it.
