Lemon back titles on K6 G35 coupes
Hey,
I am looking at two 2006 G35 coupes. Both cars seem very well maintained with under 50k miles and are selling for around 15k; both also have 'lemon law buyback' titles due to excessive oil consumption according to the owners.
Can you guys tell me more about those titles, was the issue ever fixed by the Infiniti? Should such low mileages be a red flag? One of the car is basically stock, the other has a few mods (good sound system, nice wheels, ECT) and look like show car

Yes that's exactly what I am thinking. ... how much oil are we talking about here? I don't find topping off the oil every other month but I am want a car that will be reliable for at least 30 miles....

With an exact amount of consumption,no. You can get some dealers to read you repair/service history. The best thing to do is work some deal with the seller like a trial period or something.
Actually I can tell you right away its more than 1qt in 1k. that's the manufacturer spec for no good if they've bought it back.
