car wont start

tried to start my car, it wouldnt turn on. no lights/dashlights would come on. my car keys wouldnt remotely work. from the past 3 days, ive heard a humming noise from the engine when i turn the car off, today after a while it sounded like a water pouring down on something kinda sound. the sound was coming from the driver side upper corner of the hood.

all fluids are good and battery has no corrosion. car never game me problems starting before. i had a p1084 code(crankshaft sensor bad) which made the S.E.S light on but im sure that wouldnt cause the car not to start ?

Is the car cranking, but not starting? Or will it not even turn over?

Not true about the CPS. I had an Acura RL that would crank but not start. I took it to the dealer and they found out that the CPS was disconnected causing the car to get no fuel when it was turnt over.

Now if its not turning over (wont even crank). Try swaping the battery. Also do you have an auto or manual?

The cat won't turn over. Nothing at all. It's an 2006 manual.

The camshaft sensor as it goes bad will make it hard to start. I know when mine went bad it seemed like it took 20 seconds to fire up! Had it replaced ses light vdc and slip light went out! It fires right up now. Your sensor could be toast that why it wont fire up. Take it to infiniti it will cost $300 with no warranty. I had a warranty $100 to fix.is it bank one or two sensor bad? Bank one is a easy fix. Good luck on your repairs.

Wow talk about getting robbed! Bank one is easy you can do it for about $150 depending on what sensor you buy. I would get nissan. Do you know which sensor it is?

No, not yet. Tomorrow the mechanic will go over it and replace the bad ones. So to make it clear, the reason it won't start and the reason traction n slip light comes on is from the same problem, the sensors ?

Yes the bank one sensor made ses light and vdc and slip light to come on. The sensor is sending wrong settings and the vacuum is not enough for vdc and slip sensors. All will go out when replaced. Good luck on your repairs hopeful you dont get a high price!

Before you just replace parts make sure you get or do a proper diagnostics first. You said it wont crank over at all. Most likely its electrical issue. Now if you dont have lights or any "click" when you try to start it, check your grounds to thr battery. If it does "click", make sure that the car is actually in neutral when starting. Idk about the 6mt's but i have a 5at and sometimes my shifter wont fully engage in park and it wont start unless i wiggle it to park.

Im still going to bet it is a electrical issue

I totally agree with Droid, it sounds like an Starting System electrical issue. It could be as simple as a Fuse, the Clutch Interlocking switch (neutral switch) issue like Droid said, a dead battery, a bad connection at the battery terminals, a bad start relay or starter motor or connections at either one. These are some of the components in the Start System Circuit and should be checked/troubleshot before throwing parts at the G. The Infiniti Service Manual, Starting and Charging Section, provides you with the wiring diagrams you or your mechanic will need to troubleshoot. The Cam sensors would come into play if the car engine was turning over but not starting.
