So a recap of Lonestar Drift round 1. So got there friday night for the NonStopTuning car show. That was pretty cool, a lot of people where excited to see the car. Makes me feel good all my work has not gone unnoticed. So we get to the track Saturday. I took the car out of driving back mid December, and did a lot of stuff to it. Everything from roll cage to weight reduction to lexan windows and custom brakes. Big change was the radiator in the trunk. Well I had not had a chance to really test drive the car prior to hitting the track that day to find out if everything was good. Well come to find out first the couplers I was using on the water lines just would not hold up to heat. they kept leaking. so I ended up replacing all the couplers Saturday at the track. just in time for qualifying. So then i hit the track. Literally was going to be my first time around the whole track. So took off, 1, 2, 3rd gear and started looking, where is the damn line at, the track was so wide was not sure where the initiation point was. so i guessed. Ended up coming up too short on the line and while trying to correct it spun. :/ so 2nd run i tried to get up more speed and initiate further out.... well sadly was still a little soon and same thing. So after that I was still starting to over heat so i ended up running to oriellys and getting new hoses and putting my radiator back up front. Sunday went really good. Ended up getting the tack down by 2, which sucks only because that what time qualifying was sat so I know I would have qualified if I had got some practice time in. Got a few tandem runs in before comp stated. After competition started i headed over to the smaller track. Since I did not qualify I wanted to maximize my fun for the weekend shredding tires. Over there we ended up getting some 4 man tandems on a small *** track. was pretty fun. Think we took a helicopter out with a piece of rubber.

All in all car made it back alive so that's a good thing. I am not bummed that I did not qualify, because like I told my wife no seat times, I am bummed that I did not get any practice runs in to qualify though. But now most the issues are taken care of and getting ready for round 2.

At the end when I was leaving I was talking to a seasoned driver and he was telling me that the issues with radiator in the trunk is having the trunk cut out you have a negative pressure in the rear, so you have to have bad *** fans and very good shroud work as weld as LOTS of side flow. He said I need to run at least 2 6" ducts from the side. I am like damn that's a lot... lol

Thanks for all the support from everyone. I will be posting some pics and video soon.

Sorry to hear about all of the radiator problems. I am picturing different side ducts for it and I think it could look pretty cool.

Dude, that sux. But, I love your resilient attitude. Such is the life man. I'm struggling to get my car ready for just a bunch of amateur stuff and I really didn't have much to do. Long story. Won't muddy up your thread. But, needless to say, this is pretty cool. I'm definitely a fan of what you got going on here. Keep up the work and keep us informed.

Sorry for no psot lately, I have been busy and not doing much with the car. Just had to move so had to spend a lot of money on that. I ended up missing round 3 of lone star drift.

So, I am still alive, LoL 2015 I ended up not really competing much, more just got my car dialed in and seat time. but some transformations have started for 2016. Things coming, Finish the wrap and body, Getting my ASD Ebrake and Dual caliper setup on the car, and building the engine. I am going to be running 11:1 compression with direct port nitritious. mmm that good ****. Also will be swapping out to ITB.
