What can I do to better my cars performance

Hi I have a 2005 g35 coupe and I was wondering what I could do to better the performance of the vehicle, in the vehicle I already have installed:
Mishimoto hoses
Lowering springs
Rear camber kit
Front and rear sway bars
Short shift kit
cat back exhaust

I was thinking about putting on a carbon fiber hood as well

Thank you

Crude, but not far from the mark. You have done about all you can do right now. The hood won't make any difference, the OEM hood is aluminum and CF won't save enough weight to make much difference.

You next step is Coil overs, Big brake kit, then turbo or supercharging (the bux add up REAL fast) If you plan to keep this car because you just can't love another (that's me) just keep going. My friend has had his 240SX since new in 1991, he has rebuilt or replaced everything you can (including motor swap), he will never get rid of it and has it registered as a "Classic" car.

well, you dont have a tune so you can start there. Get something that, later on when and if you go the FI route, you can upload a new tune to accomodate the upgrades

Hood wont save enough weight to make a real difference but i do like the way they look. The factory hood is aluminum and light weight as is.

-motordyne plenum spacer
-art pipes
-intake
-tune

That's about it for these platforms for basic upgrades. Beyond that I would say turbo or supercharger kit would be your next option. If you dont plan to build the engine and just wanna scoot around I would go with a supercharger setup for ease of installation & cost. I have seen nice used vortech setups go for decent price & it builds boost as the rpm increases so there is no instant tq to kill factory parts. Ive had a vortech on a different platform and really enjoyed it. For a stock internal motor I think they are a great upgrade but if you plan to build turbo is the way to go. Once I was on a built engine & really wanted to make power you run into belt slip issues with the vortech @ high boost levels. I like the vortech kit but only for factory engine's on moderate boost as it keeps the all motor feeling as it builds boost per rpm & is generally less harsh on factory components as it lacks the instant tq you would get from a properly sized turbo setup.

my 2.cents

Remove the stock idler pulley at the top and very front of the motor and replace the belt with a slightly shorter belt. You will have to buy a spacer to take up some of the small space leftover from when you removed the huge idler pulley bracket.. but it's only like 6 bucks from Nissan.

Overall, you're cutting like 4 pounds off of the vehicle and about 1.5 to 2 pounds of rotational mass from the drivetrain for a minimal cost. You can actually buy a kit that includes an OEM Nissan belt of the shorter size as well as the spacer for only like $30 shipped.

This is one of the best nearly free mods you can do for this car considering that you would have to replace the belt anyways at some point. Some of the last model year VQ35DE's actually shipped this way from the factory stock (in 350Z's)

You can free up HP as well. Light weight pulley and cf or aluminum driveshaft. If you really want, you can start shaving weight off the car. Hood, fenders can be carbon fiber. You 2 front seat is a lot of weight and you can get something lighter. That's if your serious in shaving weight off the car.

Don't waste your time if the goal is just weight savings. Our factory hoods are already very light as is and it's not worth going carbon fiber there to Maybe save 3-8 pounds if you're lucky. I've even seen some people say that some of the CF hoods are the same or heavier than stock. For our car the CF hood option is mostly for cosmetics.

It's like this and like that and like this uh huh

If you want to save weight get rid of the heavy seats and get some lighter ones. They have to weigh 90lbs each.

Shave the carpet under the pedal to it goes down further, the further the pedal goes down the more WHP you can produce.

Next bit of advice is going to cost you money, ill send you my pay pal.
