I am looking into these 2 types of HFC and have read good reviews on both of them from older posts, which makes it harder to choose. I wanted to know what y'all think about these two from people that get on here nowadays instead from a couple years ago. I currently have the stock exhaust set up on my 06 coupe but my cats through 2 codes P0420 & P0430.. So I might as well get HFC (Really hoping the codes will go away after installing these.) I will be installing this with my stock set up until I find an exhaust I like which I will explain down below. I am not interested in Test Pipes as it is a personal preference.

I am looking for an exhaust, something not too expensive and sounds good. I've heard a few sound clips of this 'M2 Performance Dual Catback Exhaust' and I like it. I am aware that there are some fitment issues at the tips but can easily be fixed with the proper tools. What are y'all's opinion on this exhaust? And will it sound good with the HFC that I get? Please no rude comments on any of this.

Besides HFC & Exhaust, I am also in the market for an air filter. I have read plenty of good reviews from older posts on the K&N Drop In filter but I've heard bad ones as well. I've read that the oil can mess up the MAF sensor & I rather not have this problem. So once again, I would like to know what y'all think about this. The only engine mod I have is a Z-Tube, so I want a filter that can benefit more from it. If the K&N Drop In is a no go, I'm going with a dry filter. Any help is appreciated.

Few things That exhaust regardless if you like the sound or not is of pretty poor quality Try searching on here or fb for someone's used setup Your air filter isn't gonna be a difference maker with a ztube-unless its not clean at all lol
Your standard drop in (I had apexi-no complaints) and it was fine
Best way to see at most a marginal increase in performance is to pair the z tube with a revup OEM air box -I see you have an 06 coupe-if you have a 6mt you already have the rev up box
As far as HFC go, fast intentions is a good way to go. Jk ART pipes are but you made it clear you don't want them so FI HFC should be considered

I guess I'll keep looking. Would you be able to list a few good exhausts that are affordable so I can check them out?
How would I go about buying one of those rev up boxes? How much do they go for? What exactly is the difference between the rev up and the non-rev up? I have an automatic so I don't have it.
Will the FI HFC throw a code? I heard it throws a 02 sensor code but can easily be fixed with anti-foulers or something like that. But I don't want to go through the hassle of those.

what be thou's budget. If it's too low It sounds like youd better off saving a bit more until you're ready to get a setup that will last you

Exhausts aren't worth it on the coupe.

Yeah, what does this mean? Also, there are more benefits to having a performance exhaust than just HP. But, yes, I guarantee you pick HP every time provided the exhaust is built right.

My budget right now is anywhere up to $700.

What do y'all think about the K&N Drop in filter? Will I be seeing small gains performance/mileage wise? Someone I talked to today said that when buying the filter new, it already comes pre-oiled and its ready for install. Is this true? Or will I have to do the whole cleaning/oiling procedure as if I'm re-using it?

I'm gonna change my name to JerseyTyler just to confuse people. I'll just keep reiterating how much I love eBay lights, plastidip and varrstoens.

It comes pre-lubed (like jersey) and its good for about 30-50k miles depending on your driving conditions. Then you'll have to clean and oil it.

Haha Awesome. I didn't want to worry about 'lubing' it when I do install it for the first time. When should I check up on it? Or do I just leave it on till I reach a certain mileage on it(30-50k miles)? And will I see any performance/mileage gains from this?
