Just picked my car up on Saturday. I leave this morning for work and as I'm cleaning off the half inch of snow that fell last night, i look at the rear passenger side quarter window and think to myself, why is that covered in ice? Until i look at bit closer its not ice... its SHATTERED with a friggen BB hole right in the bottom of it...

Then i look down and there are two more holes in the panel below the window. Seriously what kind of people do this crap?!!?! The car is only 5 days old!!

So after filing a police report and dealing with my insurance company, I had to find someone to fix the window today. I call 5 places including the local dealer (not the one where i bought the car) and no one had the glass available to fix it. I would have to wait 3 days to get it, even from the dealer.. what kind of service is that?

Finally i find a local shop that can get it today. After calling 6 places.

Then I called the local Dealer's body shop (again not the one i bought the car from) and the guy i talked sounded like he had the intelligence of a farm animal! Needless to say i did not feel comfortable taking the car there.

So I called the dealership where i bought the car (two hours away) and talked to their own body shop and the guy I talked to was very nice and knowledgable so I made an appointment for them to weld the body panel and repaint it.

This has been one crappy week... so i have to take a half day off of work today to get the window fixed and another half day tomarrow to drive across the state to get the panel fixed. At least the body shop told me he could get me a brand new Taurus as a rental for only $20 a day since my current insurance policy doesnt cover rentals.

Sorry i just had to vent, I can't believe people would do that to my car. Its friggen pathetic that this kind of crap happens.

oh yea... and yesterday was my birthday... this year has started out just great hasn't it...............

 

people these days just don't have any respect for others property. do you park your car outside? you might wanna try lowering your cars profile by using a car cover or parking it somewhere safe, a garage if possible. im sorry to hear what happened, i know how you feel. i got keyed the second day i drove my car to school . at least everythings fixable and things WILL get better. it could be much worse!

 

look around the neighborhood for a 'shooting range' some kids may have set up. It often doesnt take too much detective work to find out who the kid with the bb gun is. In fact, your neybs may already know who it is. People take note of kids shooting stuff, even with a bb gun. I'm sure theyve used it during the day. Unfortunately, I talk from experience (last car). I wasnt able to get any money from the parents. But I'm confident my rage made its way back to the kids, if ya know what I mean.

 

Sorry to hear about your window. Thats one poweful BB gun...find the kid responsible and go after the parents.

 

ridiculous!! i would DEFINITELY do some investigating around the neighborhood...

 

this type of ish is where i take matters into my own hands. even though i know the consequences. i can guarantee that if the queefs get caught, they'll spend a day or so in jail, or maybe a couple hours then get released. no extensive time. make he/she bite the curb bro.
