You got a MAACO nearby? i'd go there. Mine's rusted too like yours but at bottom of driver's door which looks pretty ugly...

Any body shop in your area can fix it. They will either just sand or grind through the rust and take it down to bare metal and then refinish. As stated above MAACO could do it, probably pretty cheap, but I haven't heard a lot of good remarks about long term paint work lasting through them. Might be different in your area though. if you are lucky they might be able to burn it in just in the wheel well area and not touch the outer qaurter paint at all

Hey man, I have the same problem happening to mine, I went to 3 reputable body shops and got several quotes. To grind fix and paint I was quoted about $1100 with no work warranty because the shops don't warranty rust work unless the entire panel is replaced. With that being said I got a quote to do the entire rear quarter (not worth it) for 4,000. Maaco quoted me 500 bucks but as other users said, they are the McDonald's of body shops, instant gratification but not really good for you lol. Please keep me updated with what you do as well because if you end up getting a good deal I'll take my car there too, hell I live in Michigan, maybe we can find a place to do a 2 deal. Below is a picture of mine

Angry Are you even listening

I guess you guys didn't read my post so, I'll say it again. TRY SOME NAVAL JELLY. Naval jelly is a rust remover. It removes rust, dirt, grime, and, oxidation from any surface. It was developed to clean Navy ships. Don't believe me, google it. I keep a bottle of this stuff. I use it to keep my rims looking new and its way cheaper than a body shop. Also from the look of those pics I'd get those fender lips rolled or trimmed.

Thumbs up Here's what you should do

First purchase some Naval Jelly (rust remover) from your local Walmart or auto store (Walmart may be cheaper). Next wash and rinse the area to be treated. With the one dollar paint brush you've also brought from Walmart liberally apply the Naval Jelly and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Next rewash and rinse the treated area. Reapply if necessary. Also wear gloves when using Naval Jelly and throughly clean the paint brush for future uses.

From the looks of these pics Naval Jelly should help a lot these areas don't look that bad. Like I said, I use it to clean my rims at least once a year (especially after the winter) and it has NEVER let me down. It cost no more than 5 bucks and can be used on many different metals WITHOUT damaging the metal or painted surfaces.

Locktite Naval Jelly is good for removing rust before refinishing. Your rust looks pretty light and if you don't want to spend a lot of money you might consider another Locktite product Extend that converts the rust to a stable, paintable finish.

Good luck!

I have this exact issue but in the rear. Should I just sand it and spray rust converter, prime, and paint? Or just use Por 15 / rust Bullet?

Thanks
