I also use 35 all around on 17s. California weather. The interesting thing is that when I picked it up from the dealer they were at about 43. Others have had similar experiences.

35 in factory 18's during the summer.

I use 38 in the winter as my car sits in the garage more than is driven
(snow season). The dealer recently also pumped 38psi after my recent oil change.

if you have the 17's, that's way too high. it should be at 30-32 psi. after a bit of time, you will notice that the center of the tires will wear much more than the outside treads. check out the information sticker on the driver side door sill. after my first experience with the 17's on my 03 coupe, i started to leave it at about 1 psi under the recommended pressures. i noticed more even wear from that point on.

I use 34-36 PSI depending on what the weather is like.

And the reason some cars come with so much PSI in the tires, is b/c the tech who prepped the car, didn't adjust the tire pressure.

When I prep cars, you have to adjust the psi b/c they come factory with around 42-44 psi.

40 on 18"'s.... ever since driving school i have used this much pressure. Makes it corner like a demon and doesn't really destroy the ride. BTW...I have NEVER seen tires wear out from over inflation...

I have 17s on my audi... and I use 34 or 36 all around depending. The ride quality changes quite a bit (for the better) when I use 36.

Thanks for the heads up on the 17s psi. I am upgrading to the 19's this weekend.
