Tire sizes
Hello I'm running oem 19s on my 07 coupe. 19x8 in the front and 19x8.5 in the rear I believe. My rear tires are 245/40/19 and my fronts are currently 225/30 or 35 I forget which/19. I hate the ride the low profile tires give and I recently cracked a wheel on them. Im picking up a new wheel tomorrow and buying new tires for the front. I want to go up to a bigger size but I was reading about the vdc issues. It makes sense but I don't understand what math is needed to figure it out. What size tires would you guys recommend for my front wheels?

Use this: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalcold.html.
The percentage of difference between the diameter of the front and rear tires should be less than 3%, the closer to 0% the better.

I've never understood why Nissan thinks it necessary to run those 225s on the front of their cars! For 125K miles I ran 245s on each corner of my last Z, loved the ride and control! With SLICK two days after I drove her off the showroom floor I had my favorite tire store swap out the 225s for 245s and never looked back, you can do the same...Gary

I'ts common for everyone to increase the tires size to 245 (at least ) in the front and consequently in the rear.
But this is a first time I hear someone running same size on the Coupe.
Interesting.
