can someone tell me how to take this hinge apart? I have no idea how to take it apart. I want to get it in there so I can properly paint it
I have to at least get the top / left gear off first before I unclip the bottom gear assembly which looks to be clipped in

I just took apart a spare one I had, use needle nose pliers. Pinch gently cause it bends out of shape easily & pull
so does this look right? pinch in the ring then lift off the entire white gear assembly?

Pick the the pin & pull the pin out or I guess you can try pulling with the gear
wait, waht do you mean by pick the pin? how do i pick it? i was going to pinch it together and join the little gap between the "teeth"
well i got it. its basically a little ring that goes all the way throughout. here are some helpful pics for people looking to disassemble this in the future.
i took two small flat head screw drivers in there and pinched in and it popped out. dont use too much force, you dont want to bend the thin ring. the white gear just pops out, i stuck a couple trim removal pieces under and just pried it out with equal force on both sides. then after that the sunglass holder just slides out
