What do you guys change on these cars for maintenance ? Plugs , air and gas filter, what else on a 03? What brands and also on the intake spacers what size gives the best performance?

Plugs, fuel filter, air filter is about all you can do. As for a spacer, the 5/16" seems to offer the best gains, even over the 1/2". Don't bother with a Cold Air intake, no gains to be had, just noise. Best bet is find a "Rev-Up" air box (2005-2007) with the built in "velocity stack". You can prob find one cheap on CL or in the classifieds here.

I wouldn't think so, just the O2 if it's throwing the proper code for it. If you run good gas, like I do, I have 130K with only one CEL and that was for a temp sensor in the gas tank.

Tex, fuel filter isn't changed unless there's a pump failure, she's in the tank!

Motordyne's 5/16" spacer is the most popular. Installing the 1/2" you lose the ability to use the engine cover and the hp comes in at higher rpm. Nissan's maintenance schedule or tune up as you called it is all fluids/filters every 30K miles and plugs at 100K miles. I suggest replacing belts at the interval too and plugs more frequently...Gary

Yeah, I know, but participation in the Raging Bull Texas Stampede requires it.

Tex, how often have you changed your fuel filter?

Never, if it's in the tank, it's nothing more than a SS screen and really doesn't need changing.

Tex, I only knew the answer because I asked the question 11 months ago! Knowing it wasn't under the hood, couldn't find the answer using our Search. I made a thread asking where the fuel filter was hidden.
