Hi.' can someone shed some light on this. Car is 2004 G35 coupe 6MT there is no code at the moment, but when I plug my code reader in OBD2 port there is no communication . Some people say it is a fuse that blown. Or can it be that i have a bad ECU. If the ECU is bad can I just buy a used one and install .There is no CEL car run great other that no communication with ECU.

Are you turning the ignition on (engine off)?

 

Check the fuse. The only thing between that and the ECU is the wiring. When my ECU went out it wasn't sending power to the cylinder #2
