Possible Camshaft sensor gone

Hi all

I was driving home the other day and suddenly the car seemed to go into limp (lack of power trying to stall, engine light VDC slip etc)

Put the scan tool on and P0340: Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit (Bank 1 or Single Sensor), so purchased a sensor off ebay, installed it as per a youtube video i found but still the same symptoms and code

Any idea would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Yea and door lock actuator . Anything that will throw a code stay oem . Aftermarket sensors will sometimes not work and be a nightmare to trouble shoot.

Speaking of window motor , what brand should be used?

I normally suggest the ones sold at places like orielys bc of the lifetime warranty. free replacements for life!

ordered the oem nissan one and still didn't work. Still the same code and can't figure out what's wrong. someone told me if the oil was low then it could have caused the vtc to not work properly thus throwing the code. Have no idea what to do. I tested the plug to the sensor and got:
1pink n blk. 11.78 volts
2 orange n blk. 00.00 volts
3 orange n pink. 11.76 volts

Don't really know what else to do. Not sure what the issue is. The car has trouble starting but when started its as if it's in limp mode. Running like ****.

Which side of the engine are you calling Bank 1?

Troubleshooting can be tough . Sometimes it takes a lot of time and is better to have a mechanic do it

Could be more than one thing not working.

Sometime a bad or weak starter can trigger the cam censor code.

See the link.

Since the last post I dod some testing. Bought a brand new oem sensor from Nissan still didn't fix the issues at all and same code p0340. My brother has a 350z so I decided to transfer his sensor over as well as both his vtc solenoids as I thought maybe that could be the issue and guess what same issue. But what I did was put my vtc and sensor on his and his runs perfect as if nothing even happened. So now I figured that the sensor isn't the problem nor the vtc I charged the battery and that's not the problem either now I'm at a loss. Does anyone have any suggestions/? Could I need a new timing chain ? Maybe it's worn and skipped a tooth? what could be the issue ???
