Exclamation Uprades for transmission.

What are some good upgrades for my 5 speed automatic? I'm new at these forums. Im just trying too get atleast some shift kitd and torque converter so that i can get smoother shifts while driving but something that would me take of quicker. Something hold up to to 300whp-380whp. And another question is true that the g35 coupe actually only put out 210 whp.

Welcome to Driver Infinitg35koupe! I'd begin by having your AT serviced with a drain/fill only using only Nissan fluids. If you're looking for smoother shifts you don't want a shift kit or to change the converter. Under WOT that shift kit bangs hard enough to loosen teeth fillings or maybe this is what you want? The 210 WHP might be a little low, normally ratings are given at the engine not rear wheels. Most of us are close to 300 RWHP with NA motors after mods and a Osiris tune.

What I would recommend is that you do the T56 upgrade to your transmission. There's a few drawbacks, but overall, it's just a great option. One of the biggest complaints I think you'd have is that it transforms your automatic into a true 6 speed; 6 forward gears and one reverse gear. It's very much like our manual transmissions, except the tranny housing sits up a bit higher. However, that aside, it operates the same. But, it will be able to handle up to the 760-840 whp with no issues. The other big drawback is that it requires an LS motor to be implanted. But, those are minimal sacrifices for such an awesome transmission, imo.

The trans. kit is a plus but it won't be too smooth when you get on the peddle.
