Hi Carlos3186,
Thanks,
I fabricated the C-Pillars ( got the Stream-Lined C-Pillar idea from the Red Concept Car posted a few months ago on this forum)& Intake pieces myself ( I build & race R.C.Model Weedeater Boats & Mico-R.C. cars so I'm always trying new things. I used a Flexable Carbon Fiber Sheet w/ Addhesive backing. You can find it on Lockhart/Pillips website: www.lockhartphillip.usa.com It's kinda expensive $19.95 for a 12"x12" sheet, but it's the real thing. They also sell a Kevlar/Fiber it has more of a yellow color. The Intake is a stock Injen cold air Intake, I just wrapped the stock Plastic Air/Fuel sensor w/ the C/F to dress it up a little. I got the Injen Intake at Intense Motorsports: wwwi-m-racing.com, but you can find this Intake on other sites for alot less.
Thanks for your input, Good Luck w/ your car!
Rick

Rugrat,
Nice job on the mods. I have a few questions:
1. Did you do any dyno testing on your G?
2. Can you feel a noticeable difference in performance with the intake and the exhaust?
3. Is the Stillen quieter than the stock exhaust? Or just quieter than other aftermarket exhausts?
4. And finally, how much did the Infiniti dealer charge you for the install?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Installed Stillen Exhaust Today
Masetodd,
1. No, I did'nt do any Dyno Testing before my installs.
2. But as far as performance gains, my seat-of-the-pants-ButtDyno tells me the car seems to be much more responsive. I think the big differance in my car after the Mods was the top end pull, before the mods (and remember I only have 2,400 miles on my car) the Coupe felt like it ran out of steam after 5,000rpm kinda flat on the top-end. Now she seems to pull harder not only on the top-end but throughout the rev range.
3. As far as the Sound of the Stillen, I was really surprised overall how Quiet it is. In 5th or 6th gear cruising you'd be hard pressed to tell it from the stock exhaust. I was a little concerned when I ordered the Exhaust that it might be loud or droning, but thats not the case. Seems Stillen did their Home
work. When accelerating it has a slightly Louder note. If you could take the stock Exhaust, an run it through a Digital Enhancer w/ the attitude **** turned up & thats what it sounds like.
4. I live in the North Atlanta area, I bought my Coupe from
Infiniti of Gwinnett, they have been Great. They charged me $90.00 for the Stillen Exhaust Installation which is an hour labor. It took them about 50 minutes to install it, the tech took his time since it was their first Stillen system. I also bought the system from them for $1299.00 including shipping. The parts Manager there, Brent, also drives a G35c and is a performance enthusiast. He's pushing for performance parts including STILLEN & NISMO and they will do all the installs.
Hope I answered all your questions, Take Care...Rick

Tokyoblue,
Check out the Mods section of the forum. I started a thread there that tells in general about the Five seat conversion.
If you need more specifics E-mail me & I'll try to answer

Re: Installed Stillen Exhaust Today
Thanks for the answers! Someone else also said they noticed a difference in the top end. But they disagreed with you on the noise level. Oh well, to each his own.
Personally, I think I'm gonna wait a year or so until I have more mods to choose from. Also, hopefully prices will drop a little....hopefully.
