Passenger side headlight out

Hey Guys,

I have a problem with my 07 g-35 coupe. My passenger side headlight low beam went out. I switched out the bulb, and still doesn't work. I plugged the driver side headlight into the passenger side harness and it didn't work. I plugged the passenger side headlight into the driver side harness and it works. So what is the problem? a blown fuse? if so, where can I locate the fuse for the passenger side headlight?

Thanks!

The wiring diagram for my 2003, shows there are four fuses, two HI and two Low beam. they are located in the engine room IPM E/R Module area. I would venture to say that there is not much difference with this particular circuit between our year models. Fuse # 83 and 84 are the numbers for my year vehicle.

Good luck.

If your fuses are good its probably the ballast.

If you read the post closely, you will see he physically swapped the head light assemblies to troubleshoot. His trouble shooting rules out the ballast, for now.

Millsey91, if you find a bad fuse, then you have to wonder what caused it to blow, you might still have some troubleshooting to do if you install a new fuse and it blows again. Keep us posted, at a minimum bring closure to the thread with your results.

Good luck!

are you canadian? If so, there's a good chance that the solder on your DRL module is loose

Thanks for the help guys!
My problem now is that I've tried two new fuses and they both blown twice, but the headlight did go on right before the new fuse blew. So what should I do now?
No, I'm not Canadian.

What you need to do now is figure out if the light assembly is what is causing the fuse to blow or something else in the circuit. Without special tools or knowledge, do the following, disconnect the light assembly and install a new fuse, with the light disconnected I would then turn the light switch to the on position. If the fuse blows, then your problem is a short within the circuit and not your light.

Let us know how this troubleshooting step works out.

Opps didn't see that part.

I am no expert on this matter but if I were you I would use electrical connection cleaner made by CRC and make sure the harness connections are clean and corrosion free first. Sounds like a short in the wiring or bad connection maybe.
