Low Compression Pistions on Naturally Asperated engine

Hey guys, i have a 2005 G35 6MT REV-UP I threw a rod in my block (witch sucks bc i only owe 2 thousand dollars on the car then its paid off ) and im thinking about building a short block but was unsure about a couple things. Im eventually going to go boost and i wanted to build this short block to be able to handle boost, but want to be able to run the car naturally asperated until im able to buy a KIT. Now my question is if i go low compression 8.5:1 on a NA engine will i loose alot of power ? Obviously i will loose some but will it be extremly noticeable? And if that dosent work i was thinking of going stock compression (10.3:1 CR) with foreged internals but was wondering if im going to run into any Problems/Failures trying to obtain my goal of 500-550 HP on boost? I just want to make the car safe to drive without blowing anything boosted. ive look around threads and they arent really giving me exact answers if someone can clarify these questions it will be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!

Do you have a beater you can drive around in the meantime?

Obv. you know you'll want low compression pistons for boost. Driving around NA at that kind of compression should be *possible* but it'll run like ****.

/If you are set on getting boosted, rebuilding at stock compression will really limit your ability to squeeze out the kind of power you are looking for.

If you get it tuned for low compression as a N/A setup it wouldn't run like crap. The power difference will definitely be noticeable.

thanks for your responces guys! So since 8.5:1 is too low... do you think if i go with 9.5:1 it will run better N/A with a tune? and will i be able to hit 500 hp when im boosted? sorry im asking so many questions i just want to make sure im getting the right stuff before i start spending all this money and then fail.
