100 octane in my G???

I live near a gas station that salls 100 octane racing fuel. I normally put 91 octane in my G coupe. Would i notice any benefits with 100 octane fuel??

Nope, stock ECU can probably only recognize up to 93 or 94 tops. But keep putting 100 octane in your tank and you may damage O2 sensors.

100 octane will be fine on your o2 sensor.. it's only if you're running extremely rich or running leaded fuel.

How much does 100 octane fuel cost these days?
I figure by todays premium fuel prices, it must be close to $5.00 a gallon.........

First off you will pay a fortune for the gas as regular premium is a killer.Secondly i doubt it will benefit as the car my be hard to start and of previous experience with high octane(hesitation, erratic idle, and sluggishness)just put 94 from Sunoco and youll be fine.

I would be careful going to Sunoco because they added 10% more or less of Ethanol (alcohol, now it is Enhanced Ethanol) In the manual book, it stated that it should contain in no more than 10% otherwise you'll screw your ecu or o2 sensor. So, I'll stick with Esso gas.

You will probably see benefits from 100 octane if you are heavily modified and running closer to detonation(knocking). 100 octane will make you run a little more rich and farther away from detonation, meaning you can stuff more air with the same amount of fuel. If you are not modified you will probably still get more horsepower, it will not damage your car, but probably not worth the price over 92 to 94 octane.

WOLFSTERX I used Sunoco for a year and 3 months and never had a problem with their gas.10% ethanol is okay for the engine as long as it isnt over or like you said you will mess the car up.BTW whats ESSO gas??
