Over in the G-35 Sedan Forum there is a helpful thread which includes actual Dealer Costs for the "Elite Extended Protection Plan(s)." I find it extremely helpful as we have ordered my wife's new 05 CPE 6MT and also obtained a quote for the Extended Warranty that is quite a bit over the cost cited in this Sedan thread:

Not that dealer markup should be a shocking concept, as Checkbook.org suggests that dealer markups of $300-$600 and more are not unusual. They advocate shopping around as there is no requirement to buy this plan from the dealer from whom you buy your car. (In fact, they list specific dealers in the DC area that have agreed to sell these plans at considerably reduced markup - typically $50 to $150 over cost. Problem is they have no Infiniti dealer listed. )

Hope this thread doesn't get into whether these plans are needed, just hope to learn for other folks as to their cost, experience, and negotiating strategy for the FACTORY Extended Warranty.

We got a great deal on the car - don't want to see that deal evaporate in "other" expenses.

 

Why go with the Infinity Extended warranty,

try these companies they cover more for less plus they cover wear and tear that factory does not cover. Check them out.
