HKS Hi-Power Ti Exhaust Installed! *pics*
Installed @ Streetimage on Friday evening.
Thanks again fellas. As usual, another great install and great service.
Anyhow, the exhaust and my review.
SOUND:
Sounds like a meaner, more agressive nismo. You hear it the most when you're accelerating. Cruising, there's no drone. WOT is mesmerizing. I only used to be able to hear the Z-tube at 2500rpm or higher. Now, the exhaust's growl kicks in around 1200rpm and just sounds sick.
PERFORMANCE:
I doubt what others have said about it. (Dru, it'll add 20rwhp!) Not 20, but there is more flow and i do feel a little more acceleration. Unfortunately, i'm going to have to come back later and add to the performance review because i haven't been able to truly break it in, let the car get used to it, or really gun her thru the gears because of all this torrential rain we've been having in SoCal. More will come later, i'll edit/add it in here.
LOOKS:
The design reminds me of the INJEN SES TD exhaust but for some reason, i like the HKS better The tips are HUGE. Heat treated tips: blue at the end, accented by a redish hue.
Enjoy the pics people. I'll be posting more info and hopefully some better pics when the weather clears up. Thanks for looking and reading. Please post any questions and comments here, i'll answer them as best i can.

Thanks for the compliments guys...
As for the piping of the exhaust, I've attached a SEMA pic (not my own) that shows how the piping is arranged. It starts as 2, comes together alongside each other, and then ends at two separate tips. It's shaped like a Y-pipe but the two pipes aren't infused into one. They remain separate but run along side each other for a few feet.
As for price, i was scowering the net for pricing before buying. I came across 1380+90 shipping. Luckily, i found a local place that could get it so i saved on shipping. Then had Streetimage install it. Install charges vary of course.
I'm VERY happy with the exhaust. Let's see how it opens up in the near future

Damn, that exhaust looks so hot....it would look great on my Caribbean Blue Coupe with those tips....I have a HKS Hi-Power exhaust on my 300ZX. I was thinking about the Fujitsubo for my G but I'll have to put this one on my short list. According to the HKS site, the piping is stainless steel and the tips are titanium.

Yes... before hearing of the imminent release of the HKS, i was going to pull the trigger on the FUJITSUBO. But honestly, i thought the FUJI was way too quiet. This HKS is louder than the FUJI at mid-throttle and just as loud, if not slightly louder, at WOT.
I think it would look awesome with a TB or CB coupe.
