New proud owner of an 04 G35 Coupe

I've liked my neighbors G35 so much I bought it off of him.
The drivers seat needs to be patched up and I need a new radio other than that, she's great. I love it already.

One thing I do want to know, has anyone written a DYI article on how to remove the leather wrap from the steering wheel? Mines coming apart in pieces and would love to just remove it completely and put a cover on it..

Thanks

Sounds like the stock radio, you're better off going with an aftermarket one.

I agree with her. If you are going to have the car for a while, invest in a Double Din radio. The newer ones have so many nice options and cost a lot less. As far as the seat, the older G's are notorious for having that damn tear on the left corner of the driver seat. You might get it fixed for free from Infiniti. Here is the link. https://g35driver.com/forums/norther...at-recall.html

The stock radio is long gone. It was replaced with an after-market Clarion but the previous owner thinks a ground wire wiggled loose because it no longer works.
As far as the radio goes I am really wanting one of the Android double din stereos.

The seat I called an upholstery shop and I got a preliminary price of $180 per side to fix. I doubt Infinity would fix it because it's 11 years old and has 160k miles on it now.

I'm not sure if the same upholstery shop can fix / remove or replace the leather that's wrapped around the steering wheel, but mines coming apart. I'm half tempted to take a razor blade and start cutting threads but the part around the center of the wheel worries me. I'm not sure if the leather will pull out from under the radio controls.
