URGENT help please. Clutch not engaging
URGENT help please. Clutch not engaging
Hey community,
So last night I got stuck by a park because my clutch went out all of a sudden. I have a 2006 G35 coupe and just last January i got the clutch (JWT) and the hydraulic system replaced. The clutch fluid seems to be fine but whenever I try to put it in 1st gear or even reverse, it just revs up and doesn't move or catch on to the gears. It just stays there and the rpms go up. The only thing that I can say that might feel different about the car is the clutch pedal pressure seems like it went down.
I really need to figure this situation as I don't really have a reliable 2nd car I can use whenever.
Any help is appreciated!

You need to do some basic troubleshooting.
1. Clutch fluid level?
2. Jack the car up.
3. Inspect linkages and look for evidence of fluid leaks at all lines, operating cylinder and
clutch master cylinder cylinder.
4. Have someone depress the clutch pedal and see what action is taking place at the
operating cylinder. The Withdrawal Lever should move through a full travel, this actuates
the release bearing which actuates the pressure plate. It is actually a basic system to
troubleshoot. If you get little to no action at the operating cylinder, then either your master
cylinder or operating cylinder is by-passing fluid internally.
5. Or take it to a shop and have it checked out.
