03 G35 clutch upgrade

Alright, this is my first thread ever. I bought my 03 G in 2013 and sunk all my money into it, almost 3 years later and what i'm pretty sure is 135,000 miles on the original clutch, it's time for an upgrade. So my question to everyone is what all should I change out while i'm down there upgrading the clutch? So far i'm looking at the jwt clutch/flywheel combo.Would I need to upgrade my slave cylinder too? I've been reading about the OEM slave cylinders failing after the upgrade. Any suggestions on where I can find a sturdy slave cylinder to replace the OEM one?

Z1 Motorsports or even just any aftermarket master and slave cylinder on any website. But yes, the OEM slave will fail with the JWT combo. I've heard that the JWT is the best bang for your buck and works well. Only a Stage 1 though.

You will love that clutch...

...except for the effort you must use.

It wouldn't hurt to replace BOTH the master and the slave. You will also get a SS slave line with the kit. I did mine in 2009 but I have never had a problem with the master or slave, but I change the fluid regularly.

I just got the JWT combo and I went ahead and got an aftermarket slave cylinder from concept Z but they told me that our oem slave is plenty strong. Also got megan test pipes and 1/2" spacer.

Hello guys I'm new to the forum, and just purchased an 03 g35 and need help with finding the best aftermarket clutch ? And should I replace the flywheel? And have any of you had any problems with aftermarket flywheels since most aren't dual.

you won't have problems with aftermarket flywheels, but you do have to be prepared for clutch chatter.

I have NEVER had good luck changing just the clutch. They always ended up chattering within a month. I hope yours is OK.

i hope so too. its been couple months now and it feels pretty normal. my clutch wasnt slipping or anything when it got changed it was just worn and worth changing while they had the trans out. with the old clutch it was shuttering tho at times so i knew i had to change it soon but no slipping.

I would replace the rear crank seal while I had the tranny pulled out, I'm about to change out my clutch and transmission as well.
