Enjoyed Stillen exhaust a couple of days ago. It is a beautiful setup and installed in only 40 minutes, speaking for the quality of the design. It was easy for my local muffler shop to install and $75.00 later I was on the road.
Noise:
I am just a little disappointed with the noise level. It is not loud, but you have to turn the radio up to listen to it. I would have preferred to sacrifice a horsepower or two for a closer to stock sound. Definately picked up power above 5k.

Well i'll be able to tell you in a week or so---hey one recommendation if you aren't happy with the sound. If you want it louder, buy some High-flow crawford cats, it will be a lot louder and you will also get some nice HP gains. If you want to go even further, get some headers to go with the exhaust, and it will be even louder and you will get some more HP gains.

I dont understand what you are saying..

Your topic says it was a little noisy, then you said you were dissapointed since it is not loud.. And you have to turn the radio up to listen to the exhaust?

To be honest with you, I have a Stillen Cat-back, and it does not bother me at all. Maybe I got used to it...

Could it possibly have anything to do with what intake you have? I have an AEM CAI, maybe thats why the noise is not so obtruvise (air, easy in-easy out)?

Are you speaking of the drone while cruising that occurs oftentimes with a new exhaust system

I got lost too. I think I just lost some brain cells after reading this.

Is it loud or not?

I think he means the Stillen is not TOO loud, but it is a little louder than he would like it to be, and to be able to listen to the radio he has to turn it up more than he used to.

Ummm...I'm confused. So you said it's not loud, and the only reason you're disappointed with the noise level is that you would now need to turn the radio up to listen to the radio?? Were you expecting anything different before you bought the exhaust?

Why did you get an aftermarket exhaust then? If not for the sound? The exhaust, "at best", is only really going to gain you 4~5 HP. Not going to be that noticible.
