Thanks guys. I knew I would get flak for it but the funds just aren't there for new tires this year, even with selling these. These will get me through this winter and I can save for a proper set next year. For those of you who haven't experienced a winter on the Canadian Prairies... it gets bad. Really bad. Minus 50 isn't unheard of in January. The narrow width of these tires will help dig through the snow piles and the added sidewall will give some extra cushion over the ice-hardened roads and ruts. And in the middle of a blizzard no one is going to be looking at your wheels.

This thread was mainly just meant to an answer to a question. If anyone out there is wondering can a G35 run on 16's? The answer is Yes.

Should a G35 run on 16's? Probably not. But in a pinch you can do it.

FYI I also have a proper winter vehicle, a 2011 Murano SV, all wheel drive with a set of Nokian Hakkapeliitta tires, that the wife uses to transport herself and the kids around. The G is just needed to get me to work and back.

Keep in mind that there is a significant negative to go along with these tires... smaller overall tire diameter means less ground clearance on an already low car. Front bumper chin = snowplow.

You were so preoccupied wondering whether or not you could, you never considered whether or not you should
