I wish mine burned 1 QT per oil change.

I'm now adding 2-3 quarts per oil change (3500 miles). The amount has slowly progressed over the miles. I'm at 165K now.

This is with a stock, 06 sedan 5AT, no modifications.

I just keep 1-2 quarts in the trunk and check the level often. Cheaper than a new engine.

275,000 miles with minimal issues. Regular maintenance but uses 1qt of oil every 1000 mi. Still gets 25mpg highway. All in all "GREAT VEHICLE"

 

Mine burns a quart every 600 miles.
