Thumbs down exhaust tone on 05's...

not as loud as the 03-04's.... ...but the exhaust part numbers are the same, so it must be something engine related, maybe the new exhaust timing?

anyone??

is it really not as loud as the 04 model? i figured it would be louder!
well i guess we have 1 thing up on the 05 ppl

outside............. (and inside for that matter.)

sucks bigtime! its still there, but very weak. we'll see what happens when i do z-tube/ k&n drop-in...

I doubt there's a noticeable difference in the sound.

ummmm... i owned an 04 for 9 months, and now own an 05...

yes there is a noticeable difference, even the service people at the dealership knew that...

I agree, the 05's sound is tighter and more controlled. A very subtle but noticable difference. The 05's aren't as throaty but sound more refined.

They might have tweaked the muffler or resonator a bit while still keeping the same part number.
