Search for 06-07 Coupes. I'm in MD and had to go up to PA to get my current car. Everything in this area was ratted out, had been repainted, or otherwise not worth the inflated asking price.

Basically, widen your search area. Cars from the DC area have to sit in DC traffic, I'd rather get a car with highway miles than stop & go miles.

 

I've been doing 200 mile ranges from here (currently Annapolis area) but I'm slowly pushing out further and further. I have no problem making a long trip to get it if it's what I'm looking for, definitely slim pickings around here though!

 

500 miles, try the southern states more aka no salt abuse

 

^ Great point on the salt, I did see one down in Charlotte that I'm keeping an eye on. There is that whole fear of getting down there to check it out and it actually being crap and it's a waste of a trip, but I guess that's the risk you take, huh?

 

A friend of mine flew down to Florida a few months back to get one. Asked for a million pics, and an inspection. Dealer was honest about found issues, no real surprises when he made it down there.

 

Like Lost said, if the seller is serious then he can take it to the dealer for an inspection to be done. Send him the $100 and you'll have some peace of mind
