Talking Looking at used g35s with brembos

so my friend told me brembos are for racing, but i don't race or do anything like that at all. so would the brembo package be useless for me? it's an 04 g35 model.

i was also wondering do brembo brakes last longer than oem? and it possible to place oem pads into the caliper instead of brembos?

i'm not quite sure if any of this is possible. i'm still new to cars and my friend is telling me these things.

Don't buy the car because of the Brembos.... buy it because it came mandatory on the 03-04 6MT G35 Coupes.

If you want a MT from those years you're getting those brakes with it. Nobody buys a car for the brakes anyways.... that's ridiculous.

OP, if you buy a G with Brembos, just take them off and send them to me and I'll send you my non- Brembo calipers.. I'll even pay for shipping ha ha

i'm not buying because of the brembos. i have question because of the brembos.

i don't know what they are fully for and do to benefit the car other than to race. like i said, i don't race or anything that's why i had questions...

They are for stopping the car... Infiniti did not put them on for people who are just racing.. Plus, brake pads should be easier too change if you have Brembos... And yes, having Brembos is a great benefit... They are a well known brand world wide and work just fine for our Gs..

The difference is Brembos..!!! They are better, Infiniti couldn't afford or wanted too save money at the time so they stopped using Brembos... If you have Brembos, all you need too do is upgrade your brake fluid and you are more than less track ready... If you have Brembos on your stock daily driver car just make sure you do regular maitnence on your car and you will be fine with or without Brembos...

I've already answered that.... You may need too get your calipers rebuilt if they are faulty or have been abused hardcore... But when pads need replaced, go to your local auto zone or whatever it is and get brake pads for your car... It's that simple...

I assume by "OEM Pads" you mean non-Brembo pads (Brembo pads were OEM on '03-04 6MT). No... you can't do that. You have to use pads meant for the Brembo brakes. They are completely different and won't fit interchangeably.

It's slightly more to maintain Brembos because the replacement pads are more expensive. It's an insignificant concern though because you only really replace brake pads under normal street driving conditions about every 40-60K miles and the difference in price isn't really that huge. Rotors are also more costly but you only usually need to change those about every other pad change unless your current ones are warped or you ran the pads down to the point that they started grinding.

Honestly... i wouldn't put any real thought into the Brembos. Get the car for other reasons and if you decide to get one with Brembos just enjoy the fact that it looks better and stops better. The standard brakes stop just fine for everyday driving.
