Rear differential

102k not sure if the previous owner did any service on differential is it safe to drill n fill

I would drain and fill. My dealer did a flush and it's all smooth back there.

every time you do your trans fluid you should do your diff fluid.

Not sure if they had that done to rather leave transmission alone mite do more damage then good at 102k but was wondering if diff be ok to drain n fill

Is it a manual or automatic? This can only cause problems in an unmaintained automatic. You can and should still change the fluid on an unmaintained auto but don't flush it.... just a change.

Definitely change your different fluid. That won't do any harm as long as you replace it with compatible new fluid.

Thanks guys and that's a auto btw can nissan do the drain n fill cause INFINITI dealership is like 1.5hrs away but we have nissan dealership

Yes.... Nissan will do it for you and for probably cheaper too.

I wouldn't worry at 102K miles. Just drain/fill


When I did my fluid change the first time at 50K miles, it was nice and clean. When I did it again at 150K miles, it looked even cleaner then.

I pretty much will never do it again
