Brakes 2007 G35 Coupe Base _ Brake upgrade?

Hello all! Been contemplating some options for upgrading the brakes on my 2007 coupe. I've seen the akebono calipers but not really a fan of them. Was wondering about how to get the brembos that the other models of coupes have.

Any one have advice on what I can do to prepare for a brake upgrade? Can I buy the brembo calipers and do a simple swap?

I've tried to search for some options but I don't see anything about the type of upgrade that im considering.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Brakes

Honestly its only an aesthetic thing. I can overlook that though. Do the rear calipers require new brackets?

The rears do not, just the front.

You may find that just changing the pads will give you the feel you want.

Get pads with more bite, like semi metallic. Im using EBC yellows now, mostly because I was too lazy to change then back to EBC red after going to the track.

I also went with synthetic brake fluid. I was concerned and brake fade on the track (never been an issue on the street).

:/ 06 stock brakes seem fine to me

Even going to the Brembo rotors, it's really just an asthetic thing. At least the Akebono's are a larger diameter front rotor, so you may gain a little more performance.

OEM brakes 12.6" rotors, 2 piston calipers
Brembo's 13" rotors, 4 piston calipers.

Normal street driving, you'll barely notice a difference. If you open track the car however, that's where the brembo's will shine as the offer better performance under higher heat conditions of repeated hard braking.
