G35 rear accident HELP

I was hit in the rear and wondering if anyone had an estimate of what a fair price to pay for the damage would be, or any advice:ico n40:

It looks like that piece comes off and can be replaced. Id say about 400 if u do it yourself. Did your airbags pop?

Why are you asking us this question? Didn't the person that hit you have insurance or shouldn't your insurance company pay to fix it if they didn't? Have a body shop give you an estimate, there's generally more damage done than meets the eye!

$400? Ha! Parts alone will cost more than that, nevermind frame work to straighten out the compressed unibody in the trunk area and new paint on the replacement parts.

That's not something you're going to easily fix yourself and end up with desirable results. The unibody/frame needs to be pulled out professionally and there is also some warping as you can see by the misaligned gap above the drivers side taillight.

It's definitely repairable but I don't know why you'd care to even worry about how much the repair will be since getting rear-ended is typically 100% the other person's fault unless you were backing up or doing something out of the ordinary.

G35 rear accident HELP

Did someone hit you? If so let their insurance take care of it... If you managed to do it yourself... good luck

I got hit in the rear last year. Not dead center like yours but on the left and the frame needed to be pulled out. Since I got hit in the rear, I had the other insurance pay out. (Don't get too excited tho, your insurance will probably jack up as well.) To get the frame pulled out, and other repairs, my bill came out to roughly 1800. You'll probably get more from the insurance but don't take it for granted. Good luck!
