Angry Used Wd40 to remove plastidip off rims.. they disolved and FUSED to the rims?????

i peeled a good chunk of it by hand and used WD40 to remove the remaining 5%, and they dried onto the rims or something, it looks like permanent marker was drawn on to them.

how do i remove?

I have no experience with this stuff, or Plastidip for that matter, but I've read on some forums that this stuff seems to work pretty well. It looks an awful lot like Goo Gone, but that doesn't mean that's what it is.

https://www.dipyourcar.com/products/dip-dissolver

I've had good luck with 3M Adhesive Remover on body side molding tape, emblem residue, etc... Soak your cloth in whatever you end up using so the dry cloth isn't absorbing the product you are trying to clean the wheels with.

Amazon.com: 3M 38983 General Purpose Adhesive Remover - 12 oz.: Automotive Amazon.com: 3M 38983 General Purpose Adhesive Remover - 12 oz.: Automotive

If that still doesn't take it off, I bet a very fine cut Scotch-Brite pad and Goo Gone, Dip Dissolver, or something to help it out would get it off. A 3M 3000 grit Trizact pad should sand out any scratches caused by the pad and you could follow that up with some Meguiars M105 to buff out any hairline scratches.

Scotch-Brite(TM) Light Cleansing Pad 7445, Aluminum Silicate, 9" Length x 6" Width, White (Pack of 20): Sanding Pads: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific Scotch-Brite(TM) Light Cleansing Pad 7445, Aluminum Silicate, 9" Length x 6" Width, White (Pack of 20): Sanding Pads: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

As a side note, 3000 grit Trizact pads are worth having around anyway since they are practically magic for removing light oxidation from headlights. Just follow up with a couple steps of polish to remove the slight fogginess caused by the Trizact pad. I use Meguiar's M2 followed by Meguiar's M9. Both of them and the Trizact pad can usually be found at O'Reilly's, Advance Auto or any other decent auto parts store.

there is a very good chance that you actually ate through the finish
I bought a G with similar wheels and could not figure out what happened to them. It seemed like something was spilled on the wheels and ate through the wheel finish. Now that you posted your pictures, I bet that is exactly what previous owner tried to do to the wheels on my car and ruined the finish.

Try acetone. Apply to rag and wipe vigorously.

I think you've gone through the finish. Under the hyper silver color there is a layer of black base coat, and it looks like that is what you have showing. Time for a powder coat, or just dip them "True Metallic Aluminum" with a top coat of "Hyper Silver Pearl". I'd just get them powder coated as I'm not a fan of dip.
