Should I powder coat my rims?

Hey guys, I just recently bought a white 2006 G35x and have done a few things to it such as tint the windows and added a lip spoiler to the trunk. I was thinking of powder coating my stock wheels black or gunmetal gray. What do you guys think? I'm going for a sporty look but I also don't want it to look ghetto. Any pics/suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Mine are dipped. Bought them like that. They're not the regular stock g35 wheels these are stocks off a Q60. They have held ggood this winter. No problems.

Both great looking sedans that need some clear corners .

Leave it alone
Their color won't make them sporty
They're still small and stock

I would get some rays or the coupe 18 in wheels. They'll look way better than your powder coated stockers.

Welcome to the G35 Driver forums! Nice looking and very clean IP sedan! I wouldn't drop any $$ on those OE wheels, they look good now and you sure don't want to dip them black! Sedan clear sides don't cost a lot and they'd look great on your IP sedan. and find a set on line. Again, Welcome and enjoy the ride...Gary

I agree with the answers.

Don't powerdercoat those wheels. Just not worth investing the time into those stockers.

Tint would make more of an impact though

tint + a mild drop would be 10000× better in terms of making it much sportier. otherwise get some g37 wheels

I actually got my windows tinted 50%, put a small lip spoiler on the trunk and swapped all of my interior lights to LED by diode dynamics (including LED backup lights, license plate and sidemarkers) since this picture. I'll try to post an updated one soon. What are clear corners exactly?

If only you could find clear corners for sedans.
