Did infiniti/nissan forget to wire the trunk to the door ajar warning light? It is a little thing that I never noticed until just now when a friend of mine was getting something out of the truck as I dropped her off. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this. Maybe it never worked on my car. Anyone???

Yeh, as I continue being bored this evening, after my NAV purchase, I just tested that out, door ajar goes away after the door is shut with the trunk open. Can someone see if the light stays on in an 05 or 03?

I just tested on my 05, the door ajar warning light was off while the trunk door was open...

The NAV warning will come up if you start driving (actually rolling the car).
What annoys me is that it's labeled as a door warning and not trunk warning.

It is important to know also that the stock alarm will NOT arm properly if the trunk is open. I guess though, that that really doesn't help you out when driving on the freeway.

Oh, and I love the fact that you can pop the trunk from the button while driving on the freeway.

What's more embarrasing is to be on the stage at the track and to reach down and "attempt" to turn off VDC and realize that you just popped your trunk.

And thus the KPtechnologies VDC memory module was created

yea i noticed that so i opend the door while rolling if its the door the picture of teh car will have teh door open if its teh trunk there is a outline around the trunk. if the trunk is closed and you open the door it will come on and look at the diff. on the trunk. you only have to be rolling like a little

Are you talking about popping the trunk open from the fob or the trunk release switch inside the car? I was rolling into my driveway the other day and tried to pop the trunk using the trunk switch while rolling in - didn't open... I had to bring it to a complete stop before it popped open...

Beautiful segway into an additional marketing opportunity if I must say so myself. Just one of the many things I'd do for a FGC Sponsor...

Waiting forever on a set of headers and cats is another.

the trunk and hood switches are really only used for the lights and the alarm
NO INDICATOR is given like a door ajar.

I have my cabin trunk opener disabled from the glovebox. Only can open the trunk with the kepfob, out of the ignition.
