Aight, I just recently started having issues with my ac and stereo. I'm not buying that Metra kit because I can't stand those buttons. I did buy the oem dash face plate for the nav/ac controls/stereo. My question is, can I use my oem ac buttons from my old unit and put them on my new jdm face plate? I know the nav works that way, but I read that the ac buttons don't work like that, I don't see why they wouldn't. Any kind of help would be appreciated.

No idea, the kit I got was a complete replacement. Had the buttons and all, not just the dash itself. If I can find my reciept I may could tell you which one it was. A local stereo shop did the install and ordered it.
