What is this part?

Hello everyone, so today I was leaving a parking lot and didnt see a curb, so I drove over it, botoming out reAr of my car(not too hard, no damage). When I got home I noticed that something was hanging behind passanger rear wheel... I am a bit of a newbie with cars, can someone tell me what is this part? Its behind passanger rear wheel, under the gas cap. Its plastic, with 2 hoses and an electrical connection wire. The part was conected by a zip tie, with no bolts, I had to use some metal wire to put it back in place.

Is that a nail in the inner edge of your rear tire?

That would be your Charcoal\EVAP canister. It's an emissions control device designed to absorb fuel vapors so they don't escape into the atmosphere and cycle them back so they are burned off in the motor.

you should have an eye bolt on the side with no hoses. If it's missing you'r G may have been hit at some point and eye bolt broken off, that is why it was zip tied.
I got couple of good (not broken) ones.
PM me if interested.
