Ok guys so I bought the Nismo gauge cluster for an automatic g35. I have an 06

Question I have is will it work or do wires have to be rearranged or spliced

Anyone who has done any Cluster work please chime in

 

man thats a tricky one. most of the guys that did the 05 --> 06 interior conversion did need to get repinned and spliced. afaik i havent seen any comprehensive guides on doing that conversion

 

Any idea how the 06 cluster compares to this ??

 

i mean you would just have to pull up the fsms for both and check the pin outs and then try to rearrange the pins

 

I would need another 13 pin according to pictures. Just not sure if I can have someone attempt the retrofit for me or I might have to just sell the cluster fml I need to stop buying **** lol

yeah exactly. lol id go with the 06 cluster. you can get a custom gauge face made that is in the same style as the nisml if you wanted. it could look exactly the same with no mph if you wanted.

the only way to get yours to work is to try to find the male end of the harness and cut it. maybe a junk yard or try to go through mouser to find the actual connector though i think it will be hard to find.

the 06 cluster is cleaner though and if you ever wanted to do an led conversion its much easier and cleaner with the 06's
