Need help naming and finding this part..

Went to get a smog check and failed due to "defective part." Was told to replace this tube and it will pass. Can anyone identify this part and where I can find it? It does have a leak that can be seen in the picture.

Thanks

I don't think you can buy just that accordion piece. Source a used tube, Z-tube, or some other aftermarket. Try sealing it with Gorilla duct tape or some flexible rubber sealing that's used for pipes (Home Depot has it). Unless, they are just douches and won't accept simple fixes.

Yeah it looks the previous owner tried to seal it with some black tape, but I don't think that's strong enough. I'll try something from Home Depot. I honestly think they were just hustling me. I went in with a deal for $30 smog check and the dude tried to type $60 on his little Apple Pay machine before I could notice. Luckily I saw as he was swiping my card and called him out on it.
Funny thing is I had already signed the $30 invoice he had JUST printed out before he tried to type in $60. He said "don't worry about that (signed $30 invoice), I'll throw that away". ****er tried to hustle me. I'll try a more reputable shop after I put some gorilla tape on it. Thanks for the suggestion.

I believe it connects to the air box but I could be wrong. Here's a pic from a little farther out:

oh ya that connects to the air box. i had to go to a junk yard and get one. i think i paid 35 or 40 at the junk yard for it.

i tried the tape thing but it didnt work for me. the tape would keep coming off and i would get a leak.

My Z-tube is one piece that came with everything necessary to connect the airbox to the plenum. I bought it used off of a Z driver who had replaced his with a CAI.

Here is the stock intake pipe assembly that came off of my G35:

Here is what the Z-tube looks like now on my car

The OEM z-tube is one piece something like the Stillen requires the rubber couplers.
