03 g35 x pipe installation

So I installed my. Cat back. If course there's a drone.was gonna install a x pipe. But I'm very confused about the whole placement. do I cut out the h in the pipe which has a small whole apparently.(the first picture) or the big peace after that which I think is the resonator. (2nd pic ) or do I just take both out. Idk I want to do this right the first time

It's typically after we're the cats would be but you can buy downpipes and an xpipe that's all bolt on then you don't have to cut anything

I'd rather not have to buyore parts. I already spent over $ 500+
I just want to properly get it right

But from when I have put an x pipe on cars before it's right after the cats

The purpose of the x-pipe is to replace the cross over where it blends the pulses of each bank. I'm using a 3" diameter x-pipe from Magnaflow. I had my muffler guy install mine, it's not an install for someone without a lift and all the right tools! Are you running high flow cats? That's your next exhaust mod after the x-pipe install which adds 7 to 10 WHP! This mod might cause a lean condition so you'll need to get a tune! See, it never stops after you change one thing on our G35s! Maybe HFCs aren't a great
